WSOY publishes a wide range of Finnish and translated literature, fiction and non-fiction, for all age groups. Founded in 1878, WSOY is a household name in Finland as the publisher of a great many classic Finnish authors. WSOY strives to be the vanguard of Finnish literature, to discover and to publish the very best of writing both in Finland and the world at large. WSOY nurtures its great literary heritage and works to keep books and reading at the heart of the Finnish way of life.

WSOY is part of Bonnier Books Finland which belongs to the Bonnier Books business area. Bonnier Books has publishing houses in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Poland, the USA, and Finland. The Head of Bonnier Books is Mr. Håkan Rudels and the CEO of WSOY is Mr. Timo Julkunen.

Bonnier Rights Finland

Bonnier Rights Finland is a literary agency that sells foreign-language publishing rights to high-quality Finnish fiction, children’s books, YA, and illustrated and narrative non-fiction. Bonnier Rights Finland represents selected authors and illustrators who work with the publishers that make up Bonnier Books Finland, a subsidiary of the international media house Bonnier. Bonnier Rights Finland also represents film rights on behalf of selected authors.

Our worldwide contacts and broad experience in negotiating and licensing translation rights in different language areas, either directly or through professional subagents, guarantee the authors and their books the best possible publishers abroad. Opening new doors in international publishing is our core activity in paving the way for Finnish authors into new and devoted homes all over the world.

Bonnier Rights Finland operated under the name WSOY Foreign Rights until September 2014.
